Intro with a small funny incident

I don't know why I decided to write this blog. May be coz I was going through several blogs, few of which are administered by my friends n acquaintances, and that inspired me to write. I don't have any agenda or any recepie or any travel information to share. This  blog will be  for those girls..for those mothers... daughters..... sisters....wives....professionals.....and sometimes friends as well.
It will talk about some of my distinct experiences and how I deal with them. Thus may be sometime later even other ladies come forward and share their situations and solutions here.
Donot worry folks this blog will not talk about my problems but about some varied funny and different experiences of life and how I have dealt it.
To begin with let me share an incident post marriage. I belong from a supah cool Bengali family and have been married to a conservative Punjabi family. My hubby on the contrary is supah supportive but things at home is little different. Its no ones fault coz thats what is called CULTURAL DIFFERENCES!!! For us, girls are supposed to be independent, earning, getting into the professional world, studying etc is a natural process but here it is not the same, and thats the reason I am almost considered an Alien here!!!
It was a Tuesday morning and I hadn't got any full-time job till then, my hubby wasn't in a good mood so he shouted at me and walked out of the house. I was numb for sometime coz once my hubby gets upset with me here i start feeling lonely and helpless as the last resort also seems lost.
But then it suddenly occurred to me that my friends has always been saying that I am less of a girl and more of a guy then why not behave that way. I walked up to my Mom in law, told her that I have received an important call from my college where i was teaching as a visiting faculty and so will have to go.
As she said a yes i got ready and walked out of the house. Then was confused what to do? where to go? suddenly i recalled my IIM days that there initially when i knew no1 i used to go and watch movies alone. And the idea clicked. I took an auto and went to Sahara Ganjj mall. Baught the tickets for Bhootnath returns and  walked in to KFC. There i enjoyed a burger while many eyes stared at me being alone....but I gave a damn and enjoyed those stares. Then with a bucket of popcorn and Cold drink i enjoyed the movie and then came back home chillaxed.

If  you ask me what was the positive effect of the incident...then i would simply say that because of the space and independence that i gifted to myself I tackled the situation well as i didn't crib about it to anyone and it was a super funday. Finally my hubby ended up saying that, anokhi cheez ho tum (means you are one of its kind)!! but trust me that night ended well without any more fights but we both laughed and made up!!
